Long Langstroth Bee Hive

Built for beekeepers who value durability, capacity, and ease of management, this 30-frame Gambrel Roof Long Langstroth Hive combines thoughtful design with long-lasting construction. Delivered as an easy-to-assemble kit, everything is precision cut and ready to go right out of the box.

Unlike traditional stacked Langstroth hives that require lifting heavy honey supers, this horizontal long-hive design allows the beekeeper to work the colony one standard deep frame at a time. There are no heavy boxes to remove, making inspections, harvesting, and routine hive management easier on the back and shoulders.

The spacious hive body holds up to 30 Langstroth frames, giving the colony plenty of room to expand naturally within a single horizontal chamber. Included with the hive are 10 frames fitted with waxed plastic foundation, providing a strong foundation for new colonies.

The signature high gambrel roof is designed with both convenience and colony health in mind. The generous roof cavity accommodates two half-gallon mason jar feeders, allowing supplemental feeding without disturbing the bees. During winter, the same space can be filled with thick insulation to help regulate temperatures and reduce moisture buildup.

A vented lid promotes airflow and helps reduce heat buildup during hot summer weather, while the chamfered inner cover components provide a refined fit.

Each hive includes a queen excluder and follower board, giving beekeepers additional flexibility for colony management and space control.

Built to withstand years of outdoor exposure, all exterior surfaces receive two coats of paint for lasting weather protection. The roof eaves are wrapped in aluminum flashing to shield vulnerable edges from moisture and deterioration. From the durable construction to the protective finishes, every detail was chosen with longevity in mind.
