Each month, we select and highlight a Veteran or First Responder from the Hives for Heroes community and share honey harvested directly from their own hives.

This is not a blend from across the country.

This is their honey, from their bees, from their community, paired with their story.

Every monthly release gives you the opportunity to experience a completely different part of America through the people who serve it and the bees they care for.

Meet the Hero Behind the Honey

Every jar represents more than a harvest.

It represents someone who has served, continued to serve, and found another way to create purpose through beekeeping.

Each month, we introduce a new Hero and share their story, where they served, how they became connected to beekeeping, what the bees mean to them, and the impact they are making in their own community.

Their honey comes directly from their hives, giving each Limited Edition release its own flavor, color, character, and story.

One month might feature wildflower honey from Texas. The next could come from clover fields in Nebraska, sourwood country in Georgia, forests in the Pacific Northwest, or an entirely different corner of America.

The Hero changes.

For the Local Heroes Limited Edition Series, “local” means exactly that.

The honey comes directly from the highlighted Hero’s hives and the local environment surrounding their apiary.

The flowers blooming nearby, the weather, the season, and the landscape all influence what ends up inside the jar.

Because each release is tied to an individual beekeeper and harvest, quantities are naturally limited.

When that Hero’s honey is gone, it is gone.

The next month brings a new Hero, a new location, a new harvest, and a new story.
